With regret, the National Coordination of the Pastoral of the Child, tells the death of Dr. Zilda Arns Neumann - Founder and International Coordinator of the Pastoral of the Child. Dr. Zilda was on a humanitarian mission in Haiti. The Office of the Brazilian Presidency confirmed that she is among the victims in the strong earthquake that struck Haiti on Tuesday, January 12.
Dr. Zilda in Haiti was attending the Conference of Religious of those countries and also to motivate leaders and volunteers of the Pastoral of the Child in Haiti working with children, pregnant women and families.
