Signs of Pre-Labor

Some weeks before delivery, the pregnant woman’s body goes through transformations to prepare itself for labor:

  • The baby is positioned lower in the mother’s belly, which causes pressure in the lower part of the belly, sometimes followed by back pain;
  • The belly becomes harder more often—these are contractions, which were weaker before, painless, and now become stronger;
  • Vaginal discharge in greater amounts, sometimes more pinkish, appears because of the rupture of some veins. This is caused by the baby coming lower and being positioned for delivery.

Leader, in the last three months of pregnancy, the pregnant woman should avoid heavy work. When she does heavy work and gets very tired, the baby may even be born prematurely. Light work and exercise, on the other hand, help with labor.
