THE FIRST THREE MONTHS OF PREGNANCY
How do you and your partner feel after finding out about the pregnancy? Are you happy, anxious, or worried?
Whatever the situation is, what do you think about talking with a friendly person about your feelings?
You are a rich source of God’s love! Your womb should be a temple of health, love, and peace for the baby.
Hello, mom! I’m still very little, but I am very happy to be here with you! My heart already beats and makes the blood run through my body. So that I grow and am born with a good weight, it is important that you take care of yourself and eat well, ok?
It is common for a pregnant woman to suddenly swing from joy to sadness. She can feel like crying and be anxious. This happens because of the hormonal changes in the body. As the months go by, these feelings settle down.
Weakness and faint spells can happen if you quickly change positions or stay a long time without eating. Eat more often throughout the day and rest whenever you can.
In these first months of pregnancy, it is common to feel nauseous and sick. To avoid this, eat dry bread and cookies first thing in the morning and do not eat very fatty and spicy foods.
You can count on me, Leader of Pastoral Care for Children: I will listen and share what I know with you.
Promptly look for a health service to start your prenatal care.
