Milk cartons opened on top and washed, boxes of toothpaste, medicine, matches, washing powder, among others. Fill the boxes with well crumpled newspaper so that they are consistent and do not spoil soon. The boxes, once filled to reinforce, can be used as they are, or covered with brown paper to look like wood, or even painted in different colors. Always try to have two boxes of the same size and shape.

Get them to cut pieces of wood of different shapes and sizes in woodworking shops in the community or with parents and family members who work with wood, which need to be sanded well to avoid splinters. It is important to have at least two of each size to allow children to make symmetrical constructions, that is, in which one side of the construction is equal to the other. This type of construction requires the child to learn about what is the same and what is different, which helps a lot in their learning of mathematical knowledge.
