"Go into the deepest waters and cast your nets." (Lk 5,4)
Definition
Continuing Integrated Formation Workshops (OFCI) are the moments of training in which all the people who work in the different actions of pastoral care for children (basic, complementary, and optional) participate.
Purpose
Provide each member of the Pastoral care for children, at least once a year, with a formal moment of study and discussion among the people who work on the different actions developed by the Pastoral care for children. This discussion should respond to the needs felt by community leaders and staff. This will allow for renewal and deepening of the contents worked on in the Basic Actions, Complementary Actions, and Optional Actions.
When it happens
This workshop can take place at any time of the year, but always after the leaders (and others working in the community) have completed the initial training in the Leader's Guide.
Who carries out
Diocesan and national coordinators are considered multipliers of the workshops and participate in face-to-face or virtual meetings with the international coordination team in Brazil.
In what way
The Integrated Continuing Training Workshop (OFCI) is based on the reality of communities and the needs of leaders and families. It deals with the difficulties encountered, introduces new themes, and celebrates the achievements made.
The OFCIs in the communities may have up to 15 participants, with a minimum workload of two hours per workshop.
The OFCIs in the diocese, to prepare the teams that will be trainers in the communities, may take place with a slightly larger number of participants, a maximum of 15 people, and a minimum workload of two hours per workshop. Therefore, the diocese can carry out OFCIs through the parish.
